V-Max Zolder Superprix by Supercar Madness

Friday and Saturday are all about the Zolder Superprix, a varied program starring GTs but also some fine oldtimer and youngtimer series. Most attention will go to the Supercar Challenge (supercarchallenge.nl); this racing series includes different series based on the ratio of weight to power. GT3, GT4, TCR and other touring cars compete against each other! Drivers in the GT category include the BMW M6 GT3, BMW M4 GT3, Ferrari 488 GT3 and Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

Also on display: the Mazda MX-5 Cup, the Modified Ford UK (including Anglias, Escorts and Capris), the British HT/GT Competition (with British roadster, GTs and touring cars up to 1981), the Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge (touring cars, prototypes and even Le Mans cars up to 1990) and the 1300 European Touring Car Challenge (including Escort Mk1/Mk2, Abarths, Renault 5 Alpine, Opel Kadett GT/E, Toyota Corolla KE20/KE30 and Minis).

“We are counting on about 8,000 spectators on Sunday,” said Rik Heesters of V-Max Racing Events, organizer of the Superprix. “The Superprix is linked to the Supercar Madness to promote this event. In the Netherlands, Supercar Madness is a fixture and a crowd pleaser. “More and more families are coming to Supercar Madness. About 10 to 20 percent of the visitors are children. The event is structured to be a fun day out for families, with lots of variety,” said Joël Lebeau of organizer 402 Automotive. You get to see the most exclusive cars there are - plus you can get very close to them!
