Incredible nostalgia for one weekend

This year's Historic Grand Prix packs a particularly attractive program full of nostalgia. The Historic Monoposto Racing For example, the Formula Ford, Formula Super Ford and Formula 3 to Zolder: these are the ‘cigars’ in which all the greats - from Emmerson Fittipaldi to Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher - learned the craft. And then you should know that a handful of series are still appearing with truly iconic cars: from the Simca Rallye to classic sports cars such as Ford Capri, Porsche 964, BMW 635 CSi or Corvette C4 in ‘our’ Belcar Historic Cup.

Also, the  European GT Lite Challenge (former Lotus Cup Europe), with mostly Lotus but therefore other brands, is on the program. The Cup and Tourenwagen Trophy in turn is the playing field for touring cars and GTs up to 3.6-liter displacement. Furthermore, there is the Youngtimer Trophy, Germany's most popular historic racing series. Among the fastest cars are the Group 5 Porsche's that caused a furor in the German motor racing championship at the time, but also the numerous BMW M3s that tore into the DTM in the late 1980s. Very nice to see is also the Kampf der Zwerge, which is divided into five classes: the NSU TT Trophy with the little Prinz 1000, the Abarth Coppa Mille, British Car Trophy with Mini Cooper, Histo Cup R5 Pokal with Renault Gordini, among others, and a class with no real year of manufacture limitation up to 1300 cc.

And we're not done talking yet. Also, the Formula Cattle (Formel V) with a historic single-seater based on the Volkswagen and the Historic Racecar Association (HRA) including Formula 3 cars will be in action.
