Zolder 12 Hours Cycling

Putting the tendon on it is blissful...when you have trained

There you need either extremely good legs or a lot of pairs of legs. Indeed the Zolder 12 Hours Cycling is a recreational relay trial that pits teams of up to four riders against each other. Here you come pedaling hard for the ambiance, you put the sinew on it without traffic lights, dangerous intersections or traffic bollards. Clearing air in the same turns once taken by F1 celebs Niki Lauda, Jackie Stewart and Mario Andretti is bliss indeed, if you've trained a bit.

There are always multiple winners. Because in addition to solo riders, duos and teams of four riders or ‘women only teams’ (up to six riders) can also participate and compete in their own category. It is a unique way to get a taste of evening cycling together with your friends - from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. - and in the paddock there is plenty of time in between for punishing stories and a BBQ.

Timekeeping identical to motor racing will be used, with each participant knowing their time and position to a hundredth of a second on each pass!
