To the fullest in first BeNeFraLux final  

The Greenpower Challenge with experimental electric cars is gaining a foothold in France and the Netherlands. So you may also spot French and Dutch school teams on May 24 during the last final - a ‘BeNeFraLux’ final - before the final international meeting in Goodwood, UK.

Come and admire this youthful enthusiasm for free! All teams drive self-designed and built cars equipped with an identical 240-watt motor and two 12-volt batteries. Winner is the team that covers the most distance. The point is to use the available energy as efficiently as possible and still achieve speeds close to 60 km per hour.

This is the fourth Belgian edition. This year 109 Belgian teams registered, 28 Dutch and 13 French, a substantial increase compared to 2025. Most teams can count on a sponsor from the automotive world or a related company.

The F24 category is provided for students up to 16 years of age. The F24+ category is provided for youth between the ages of 16 and 25. Winner is the team that covers the most distance. The Greenpower Challenge is open to all teams consisting of a supervisor - usually a teacher - and a group of students - usually one class. The main objective of the Greenpower Challenge is to get young people excited about STEM subjects - Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics.
